Responsibilities

  • You will be intimately involved in new product development (NPD) of ddPCR based assays and reagents designed to serve the Biopharmaceutical industry.
  • You will work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary department that includes assay researchers, development scientists, hardware engineers and software engineers.
  • You will plan, execute and analyze laboratory studies using ddPCR, qPCR, and other Molecular Biology methods.
  • You will write documents and reports on your studies, develop release testing methods and acceptance criteria, transfer new products to operations and participate in development activities necessary for RUO, ATMP, and AMP regulated new products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology or related life science field with 2 - 5 years’ hands-on experience in PCR-based assays.
  • Master's degree with 0 - 2 years of experience. Preference given to candidates with Pharma experience.
  • Excellent use of manual, multichannel, and repeater pipettes. Able to accurately dispense small volumes consistently.
  • Ability to accurately follow, draft and review technical documents, including test plans, protocols and reports.
  • Excellent analytical and data analysis skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Willing and able to drive projects to completion to meet deadlines.
  • Quick learner with intrinsic drive who enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
  • Additional Highly Desirable Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with ddPCR, qPCR, PCR.
  • Experience with QC, Manufacturing, or Bioprocessing in the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Hands-on experience with standard laboratory methods including DNA/RNA extraction, nucleic acid quantification, gel electrohphoresis, protein expression, and cell culture.
  • Experience with DOE process and software, such as JMP or ExpertDesign.
  • Familiarity with NGS and/or Cancer field.
